Here in God's Country, the U.S. of Fugging A, the places that accept used clothing for charity sell it at their stores, to raise money for charity. I assume some is kept for the poor they help, but there's so much of it donated.
You ice hippies run a strange country up there. Oh yeah, the January rent is due from Canada to Uncle Sam.
All of this subcontracting and assorted nonsense popped up fairly recently. Hucksters must have realized that most people are most likely to get rid of their worthless (to them) old crap when they see a local receptacle or if someone calls them and picks up.
